Healing Manual – How to Heal the Sick

Healing Manual – How to Heal the Sick

Healing Manual – How to Heal the Sick 500 382 Aly-Sam Botros

This short manual is intended to activate and teach how to heal the sick. And also lay aside common obstacles that people have in the area of divine healing. It is not, however, intended to be a step by step guide on how to do it!

1. Find a sick person

Here in Sweden this is the hardest part and not the healing itself. You can start with people who obviously have injuries as people who have plaster, bandages, or are walking with crutches. Approach them with the question ”Wilt thou be made whole?” as Jesus did in John 5:6.

Finding people who don`t have any visible injuries / illnesses can be done in the following manner:

You: Approach the person: “Hi, excuse me , I have a question to ask and it is a little bit of an odd question, but are there any of you who have an injury or pain in your body for example. back injury, knees, arms, or maybe a disease such as diabetes etc.
Them: “Yes this is a strange question why do you ask?”
You: If you have you can get well! It doesn’t cost anything and takes just a couple of seconds. “Do you have pain somewhere?”
Them: Yes, actually my back, I have had pain for several months.
You: Ok, watch this. Lay your hand on the back believing God for healing and then ask the person; How do you feel? …

2. Set the person free
Which can be done in various ways but the most common is:

a)- Laying on of hands; Matt. 9:29-30, (Mark 1:31, Matt. 8:14-15, Luke 4:38-39 same occasion) (Matt. 8:3, Mark 1:40-41, Luke 5:13 same occasion) (Matt. 20:34, Mark 10:52, Luke 18:42 same occasion) Mark 6:2b, 6:5b, 7:33-35, 8:23-25, 16:18b, Luke 4:40, 7:14-15, 13:12-13, 14:4, 22:51b, Act 5:12, 14:3, 28:8. Also, (Matt. 9:25, Mark 5:41 Luke 8:54 same occasion), Mark 16:18b,  Act 3:7.

b)- You can declare healing without you touching the sick person; 2 Kings 4:16-17, (Matt.8:13, Luke 7:9-10 same occasion) (Matt 8:32, Mark 5:6-8, Luke 8:26-33 same occasion) (Matt 9:6b, Mark 2:10-12, Luke 5:24-25 same occasion) (Matt 15:21-28, Mark 7:24-30 same occasion) (Matt 17:18, Mark 9:25-26, Luke 9:42b same occasion) (Mark:1:25-26, Luke 4:35 same occasion) (Matt 12:13, Mark 3:5, Luke 6:10 same occasion) John 4:50, 5:8-9, 11:43-44.

c)- An action to be obeyed; 2 kings 5:10-14, (Mark 3:5, Luke 6:10 same occasion) Luke 17:12-14, John 9:6-7, Act 3:6-7, 9:33-34, 14:8-10.

d)- Only believe; Act 20 7-12, 28:3-6.

There are many more ways in the Bible, like oil (Mark 6:13, Jak 5:14), touching clothes ( Matt 9:20-22, Mark 5:27-29, Luke 8:43-44 same occasion, Matt 14: 35-36, Mark 6:53-56 same occasion, Act 19:11-12,) a shadow ( Acts 5:14-16), Also, Spitting (Mark 7:33-35, 8:23), and dough of saliva (John 9:6-7), etc. But you can start with one of the four above. Use the method that you feel most comfortable with, that is usually where your faith is.

There is no specific ”formula” to heal the sick. It is all about faith- that God keeps his promises, and we simply act on those promises. So if you lay your hands on the problem area and command the sickness to go, or just command without laying your hands on it is not a problem for God, try it out and see what you are most comfortable with and then grow from there!

3. Authority
When you set the person free, assert lordship over the problem/sickness – exercise authority by the method you choose, and the sickness/problem has to obey (Matt. 8:5-13). This kind of understanding and exercise of authority is what Jesus is referring to as great faith (Matt. 8:10) the believer is given the authority over all demonic forces and all kinds of sickness/weakness. Jesus said in Luke 10:1,9, 17-19:

1 After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come.

9 And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.

17 And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name.

18 And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.

19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

It just the matter of exercising your God given authority!

4. Tell the person to do what they could not do.
Like bend or walk (Matt. 9:6-7, Mark 2:10-12, Luke 5:24-25 same occasion) Mark 1:31, (Matt 12:13, Mark 3:5, Luke 6:10 same occasion) Mark 8:23b, Luke 8:54-55, John 5:8-9, Act 3:6-7, 9:33-34, 14:8-10). If the person isn’t better or completely healed, pray again (Mark 8:24-25) and ask again how the person is feeling. Keep working with them until they can do what they could not do before, even if it sometimes takes a little bit of time, don`t give up! (Mark 8:24-25).

Never ever put your belief in a longer healing process! Always believe for an instant healing like Jesus, Paul, and the Apostles! You don’t want the person to suffer any more. However, if nothing seems to occur right away know that the person can get healed later on. Peter’s walk on the water is a good example of this. It was his faith that enabled him to walk on water and it was his doubt that made him start sinking. He never completely sank though because he was still walking in some measure in the supernatural. (Matt 14:26-31). Sometimes it is the same with healing. The healing/supernatural process is taking place to some degree and the person gets better and better over time.

5. Preach the Gospel!
Always Preach the Gospel! Often people’s response after being healed is “how did you do that?” which is an open door to preach! Healing is an amazing tool provided by God for us to reach the lost and proclaim His kingdom ( Matt 10:7-8, Mark. 3:14-15, Luke 10:9, John 4:46:54, 6:2, 9:1-38, 11:11-15, 38-48, Acts 3, 4:8-12, 29-30, 33, 5:12-16, 8:6-7, 9:33-35, 40-42, 13:9-12, 14:3, 19:13-20, Rom 15:17-19 ) it is much harder for a person who just got healed to deny God (Luke 18:42-43, John 9:32-38).

Before leaving the person it can be good to leave some info, like a business card. Often people are shocked and need some time to reflect on what just happened. Then it is good that they can get more info about the Christian message afterwards like on a website, email, number, etc. It doesn’t necessary need to be your own website.

-Remember!
You can pray/heal the person even if they don`t want to be prayed for or healed. (Mark 5:6-10, Luke 8:28-29 same occasion) Acts 16:16-18).

Example:
If you approach a person with a crutch and the person totally rejects you, you can still say: “Sir, your foot will be healed, have a nice day, Jesus loves you.” Or you can pass by a sick person on the street and say “be made whole in Jesus name”, or “come out of him.” In these occasions it is good to mention the name of Jesus, so that they know who healed them even if it is not necessary for the healing itself. Sometimes I have just been talking with a person and they get healed without me touching or praying for the person. The power of God is released by faith (Matt. 8:13, 9:29b, 15:28, (Matt 9:22, Mark 5:34, Luke 8:45-48 same occasion) (Matt. 17:14-21, Mark 9:14-29, Luke 9:37-43 same occasion) (Mark 10,52, Luke 18:42-43 same occasion) Luke 8:50, 17:6, 11-19, John 11:40, Acts 3:16, 14:8-10, Gal. 3:5, James 5:15)

If you struggling with sickness:
“Be healed, made whole, delivered and set free right now in Jesus name!

Hello,Thank you for this wonderful article, you are a blessing for nations.I would like to comment about what has been said in the comment,I think what matters is not how many people he has prayed for or healed, What matter is that you being confident and trusting God,You can take the formula (this article)to produce more than what he did,I strongly believe that this are only an idea of how to heal through jesus in you(that the minister experienced) but I believe that The one who is in you can reveal you and do more than this because himself(our Lord Jesus said:The works that I do,greater shall ye do)…We cannot deliver the same quality even if we manifacture the same product…Also the point is on the quality not the quantity.(It’s my opinion)
    God bless you

Hi. I’m wondering approximately how may people you pray for experience healing. Can you give a rough percentage?

Has everyone you have prayed over been healed?

Very good post. I’ll add to point 3 :
Jesus said speak to the mountain (Mark 11:23) to be cast into the sea. So it’s important to speak to the sickness/pain/evil spirit to cast it out. (It’s a little different from asking God to heal a sickness or casting it out because here you are exercising God-given authority).
If you don’t limit God, you won’t limit his power working through you.
