Many believers are stuck in this question and are consuming a lot of time trying to find out what their calling/gift is. But really it`s not that difficult to deal with this issue, people are makeing it harder than what it really is.
The Bible doesn’t answer this question directly, but states that everyone in the body of Christ have been equipped with different gifts (Rom. 12:4-8, 1 Cor. 12:7, 11,27-18, Eph. 4:7, 11-12, and 1 Peter 4:10-11).
Don’t focus to much on your calling/gifts, but rather let it grow forth in time, which it will do, if you continue to seek the will of the Lord (Matt 7:7). And while seeking His will focus on serving/loving other people.
Start by doing what Matthew 7:12 says, which is also called” the golden rule”:
”Therefore, all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them; for this is the Law and the Prophets.”
Even if you would never find out what your calling/gift is you have not failed. Because if you love your neighbor as yourself (Rom. 13:8-10) you will touch and impact many lives for the Lord (Luke 10:29-37). That itself is a calling upon every christian;
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10
Start there!
With time something will slowly grow in your heart. For example it can be that you recognize that many christians are going astray because of the lack of knowledge -which leads to a desire to teach – which in turn leads to a teaching ministry.
It is common when you minister to others that you realize after a while that you must start organizing the work, which leads to a ministry. Like what happened in acts 6:1-7.
Surveys that helps people find their gift is not recommended. It is misleading because it is inspired and limited by a human way of thinking.
Enjoy being a child of the living God, love others , and let Him lead you into what He has planned for you.
