Tradition Of Men

Tradition Of Men

Tradition Of Men 175 243 Aly-Sam Botros

The main obstacles to be free, know the truth and God’s will for us is:, the tradition of men.

Mark 7:8a-9 says:
“For laying aside the commandment of God, you hold the tradition of men”.
And vers 9,
“He said to them, “All too well you reject the commandment of God, that you may keep your tradition.”

Too many Christians are indoctrinated by all traditions of their Church denomination and the world’s way of thinking, and not after Christ.

We all have cultural and traditional background (a certain way of thinking) that is not based on the Word of God. But I am surprised that so many believers want to hold on to them and are not honest with themselves about what the Bible really says and they do not allow the Bible to speak to them and change their beliefs and their hearts. Instead they want the Bible to adapt their thinking, and traditions. They read the Bible through their own cultures and church traditions.

Colossians warns us of this, Colossians 2:8 says:

“Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of man, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ.”

This is important because if your belief is not in line with the truth of God`s Word it prevents you from being freed!

John 8:31-32 says,

“Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him,” If you abide in my word, you are my disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth Shall make you free.”

It is only the true knowledge of God’s Word that will make you free. If you’re not free in any area of your life, you are sick, depressed, or have anger, bitterness, unforgiveness, etc you have not known the truth and you are still under lies, the tradition of men.

The greek word “ginōskō G1097” translated “know” in John. 8:32 is not merely speaking about headknowledge, many Christians have headknowledge about many trues in God’s Word, but a supernatural understanding and conviction in the believer’s heart – what the Bible calls FAITH!

Good. Agree, traditions are not bad as long it does stick with the Word and helps you forward in your discipleship i think its ok, but other wise not. Its better with the traditions of God;) .peace
